The Best Cities In Europe
The best cities in Europe really depends on what sites a person is wanting to see and how long they will be able to stay. For example, places that have enough sites to see for one or two weeks include London, Paris, Rome, Sofia, and Florence. For sights for less than a weeks stay include Venice, Cambridge, Vienna, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Tallinn, Goteborg, Cesky Krumlov or Nice.
London, England is a favorite among travelers. It has something for everyone. There are quirky museums, The London Eye, the Tower of London, and of course Big Ben. There is also a tour (for more adventurous individuals)around the Whitechapel district where “Jack the Ripper” committed several murders in 1888.
Paris, France is typically considered the romantic place in the world. With 42 million tourists each year, it is the most visited city in the world. It has almost 4,000 historical monuments to visit. Summer days are typically warm and pleasant and Spring and fall have warm days and cool nights. In the winter, it is usually cold, but days are typically above freezing.
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is one of the most important cultural places in all of the world, because of the 75 festivals held there each year. They also have historical monuments, a beautiful canal belt, and famous museums. Each district around the centre has its own personality. There are some with modern architecture, and others that take a person back in time, making the city perfect for anyone.
Goteborg, Sweden, is a little town in the South of Sweden. It has large, unique botanical gardens with many varieties of plans. Other parts of Sweden can be expensive, but Goteborg has cheap accommodations and fares. There are many things to do in Goteborg, including visiting Scandinavia’s largest amusement park or some of the museums and heritage sites.
As mentioned before, the best cities in Europe are determined by how long individuals are staying and what attractions they wish to see. There is amazing places all over that offer something for everyone.
